Waverley Street intersects Channing Avenue, but it's in Palo Alto proper, near downtown. East Palo Alto is a different place, about a mile away. Channing deadends near East Palo Alto, but either the intersection is wrong, or the attribution of East Palo Alto is mistaken.
Waverley and Channing was right around all the other old houses that Garcia and his fellow bohemians would share a few years later, so the intersection very well may be correct.

East Palo Alto is across the freeway from Palo Alto; it is even in a different county.
DeleteEast Palo Alto is NOT across the freeway from Palo Alto. Both cities span both sides of Highway 101.
