Established in 1922, the College of San Mateo is a local community college serving 11,000 students. The campus was designed by internationally recognized architect John Carl Warnecke.
Built in 1962, the CSM Theatre received a generous donation in 2000 which allowed for installation of our THX certified audio system, lighting upgrades and seating upgrades. Since then, CSM's Theatre has been home base for such recognized groups as the Peninsula Symphony and the CSM Panhandlers.
State-of-the-art surround sound, a modern lighting control system, and convenient parking. It has become a popular venue for plays, concerts, dance performances, graduations and lectures.(2)
