awful lot of people's kitchens. We sometimes played in cars. This is
pretty comical to consider. Bottom line, I think, is that these were
not "performances" -- or they weren't if a performance
implies an audience. Maybe I should say a known audience, as the
potential attendance of squirrels and other critters is generally
